Welcome to yoga for people who like to meditate!

This is definitely not what you might be thinking of as a “typical” yoga class. We don’t do pretzels, power poses, or break into a heavy sweat. Nope, that’s not us. This class is about using your meditative awareness to explore your body, create space for the breath.  You will discover many things along the way… but the one thing you can always count on, is how good you feel when you make room in the body for the breath to work its magic.

If laying down or sitting on the floor isn’t for you, we have people who fully participate while in a chair. You can too!

The focus of this class is on holding supported poses while your attention is gently directed to discover subtleties of alignment in the body that allow room for the breath to move and expand. It’s a gentle process of discovery that guides you into an experience of

  • Openness
  • Spaciousness
  • Ease

You will be amazed at how Agnieszka’s suggestion to make just a slight adjustment to the body opens up space in places you didn’t realize existed.  Each class is like an “mini-adventure” into unknown parts of you!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • access to a wall / closed door
  • 2 yoga, or thin-ish, blankets
  • 2 yoga blocks or thick books
  • yoga mat or carpeted floor
  • yoga strap or long bathrobe tie
  • chair

If you don’t have these exact items, don’t let that stop you from joining us. Agnieszka will suggest other everyday items that will also work.

 

All experience levels are welcome! Poses are always adjusted to accommodate your body’s needs and limitations.

 

 

 

 

How to participate online:

  • The zoom link will be in your confirmation email. We will also email it to you 30 minutes before each class.
  • If for some reason you don’t get your confirmation email, please notify us as quickly as possible at zendesk@hamsameditation.com.
