Even though we always help you adjust poses to accommodate your body’s needs and limitations, participants in this particular class will need to be able to go from a chair to lying on the floor and back to a chair, easily.


Welcome to Yoga for people who like to Meditate!

If your body is aching or hurting it’s hard to meditate, right? You know this. All your mind thinks about is how to reposition your body to stop its hurting so you can focus on meditating! Here at Hamsa, we don’t subscribe to the notion that you need to sit through the pain to be a successful meditator. If the body is uncomfortable, it becomes a distraction so…  let’s eliminate the distraction! Which means, finding a comfortable seat that works for your unique body, whether you sit in a chair or on the floor, is a priority.

In this class you will explore different yoga poses—but not the twist-you-into-a-pretzel/break-into-a-hard-sweat kind. These poses prepare the body to sit in meditation with ease. You will be guided into a heightened micro-awareness of the breath that allows you to explore poses that open the hips and build:

  • Strength,
  • Flexibility 
  • Resilience 

The best part? The stretching, gentle twisting, and strengthening also clears those clogged energy/pranic channels. Not only will you find a stable effortless seat that allows you to go deeper into your meditation, but best of all, you will return to your life with a clear and settled mind!




  • Access to a wall/closed door
  • 2 yoga, or thin-ish, blankets
  • 2 yoga blocks or thick books
  • Yoga mat or carpeted floor
  • Yoga strap or long bathrobe tie
  • Chair

If you don’t have these exact items, don’t let that stop you from joining us. Agnieszka will suggest other everyday items that will also work.
